Need to buy a Mac mini for the wife for Christmas.

She is happy with the base model, but I’m tempted to get the 16gb model for some increased longevity. She will be using it for general purpose, not production of content.

She has had her air for 12 years.

I can see the base model is cheaper on Amazon than on Apple by a good chunk. But can I only get the 16gb flavour direct from Apple?

Or is there another way?

Personally I'd go 16gb especially if you wife is going to be using this for many years to come. I'd buy direct from apple, no real savings to be had or John Lewis for the 2 year warranty.

Most stores tend to just do each model in the base sizes so I've just gone direct to apple to get my own upgrades from new.

Personally I’d get it direct from Apple. Keep an eye on the refurb store as well.

Thanks both.

Ordered with 16GB.

Guy at work reminded me we get 6% off through a work perk link.

Usually would just get it direct from Apple. John Lewis does sometimes do some good 0% finance deals though which could be useful if you need
