I'm looking to build a desk (750mmx1850mm) to fit in the corner of a spare room. I only need to tabletop and would like something in solid wood. I'll be looking online but would appreciate any pointers if someone has done this before and can save me trawling the net :)

Doesnt quite go up to the size you want, Does it "Have" to be that size?

This close enough? You can get legs for £10 in ikea as well :)

I've had one of those tables before and it cracked (not solid wood) when I put an old TV on it

I'd need it to be at least 700mm wide. 600mm isn't deep enough for this application. Shame as the prices were OK.

Or go to a DIY shop, one of them here you only pay for what you use so the standard length is expensive but if you only use 1m then you pay 1/3 of the price (going on standard size of 3m)

Solid wood kitchen counter top from any B&Q, Homebase, IKEA at a push type shop.

They should be able to cut it to the right size too.
