Forums as suggested can be a great source of sensibly priced kit nearly all my stuff has come from the TP forums and buying from established members while not risk free is pretty safe.

LCE (london Camera Exchange) has been great value for me .. got my Nikon 300mm f2.8 vrii from them .. used but in as new condition .. fantastic service and a great price ..
