where to download win 8.1 from?

Trying to install win8.1 but can't.
The offical upgrade tool on Microsoft doesn't work, gets to the bit which tells you something's aren't comparable. In this case one of the language packs. But the confirm button doesn't work.

Always gets an interruption error at 127mb. On several machines and several different internet connections.

Didn't think version mattered anymore. Don't all 8/8.1 keys work on all off them now. As long as you get home/pro version correct.

Got a Chinese tablet with a cracked unactivated version of win 8.1. got several win7 retail and several w8 upgrade keys available. So just need to get either in there to upgrade to w10.

Found the media creation tools, which allows you to download several Indies versions, hopefully that'll work.

Wahoo now have an activated copy of w8.1 pro. Now to try and get w10 installed. What a long process.
