Where to find a 1155 socket motherboard

Hi,
I built my system in 2013, long time ago.
Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40GHz
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. Z77-D3H (rev 1.1)
2048MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7850

I upgraded last year the RAM, DDR3 but 16GB.
Corsair CMY16GX3M2A1600C9A Vengeance Pro Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600Mhz CL9 XMP

It has worked fine for years until last weekend. A power surge broke the computer and I have been trying to fix it, but after testing a new PSU (that arrived today), it seems that the issue is not there but on the Motherboard (or the CPU, cannot be sure).

I am not playing that much anymore and most of what I do is work, so I do not need an upgrade right now.

So, considering all that, I was thinking on buying a cheap Motherboard to replace it, but it seems such thing is not available for the socket I need.

What do you recommend?
Find a cheap second hand motherboard or upgrade both motherboard + CPU (I would want to keep the RAM if possible).

Or any other suggestions?

Thanks

Best bet would be the main auction sites, I know I spent some time trying to find a board to replace my daughters failing PC, eventually gave up and took the plunge on the AMD 1600AF, board and RAM, she's over the moon with it you might be better off doing something similar :)

I would not just buy things on the off-chance. Remove the GPU and all of the RAM sticks. Do you get a BIOS beep code? If it's the no RAM code then add in one stick at a time. Then add the GPU. If you don't get a beep then you've narrowed it down to the CPU or motherboard.

But really, you should take the opportunity to upgrade. Your PC is, what, 7 years old?

Thank you very much for your help. :)

@Quartz
I tried all that. Removed everything, no beep code, nothing. The fans start and the leds work, but nothing else. Without any RAM it goes into endless loop with a single spin of the CPU fan.
I also replaced the CMOS battery just in case.
But no beep was a bad sign from the start.

So at that point it was Board or the CPU or PSU.
I needed to discard the PSU, so today I tested all again with a brand new PSU I ordered.
So I am sure is CPU or MB, most probably the MB.

You are right it is 7 and a half years old, but if it was working and I do not need the extra power, I thought it was good to keep it.

If I go to the "new board+CPU", will I be able to reuse the rest of the components?
I am concern about the RAM and the GPU mainly. I suppose the GPU is ok with any MB, unless the socket has been changed in 7 years, which is possible too.

Can you recommend any cheap MB+CPU combo for replacement?

Maybe this is the best option... :(

There's a fairly large selection of motherboards you could choose from because many sandy bridge motherboards support your CPU with a BIOS update, I'd look for Asus P8H and Intel DQ7, DH7. Many Intel DH6 also support Ivy bridge, but you'd need to check the BIOS has been updated or get a bundle with a sandy bridge. If you got the wrong H61 board (old BIOS) there are sandy bridge CPUs for only a few quid. For around £30 it might be worth it to get this system back up.

I have one too, but it has an issue whereby the USB ports don't always initialise, and I don't like offering defective hardware hence it's kept as a test bench spare, sorry :( Oddly, this is the board, CPU and RAM I replaced for my daughter which I mentioned previously...
