All the gmeters I can find for sale new are different to the ones that a lot of you guys on here have.

Is there anywhere that still sells them new at a reasonable price? Or is ebay my only option?

Found one place at $90 but they didnt seem to ship outside of the US.

Was the shop you bought yours in Australia?

I use (or used to use) a Race Technology AP22 for cornering forces and straight-line acceleration tests - See here
You can buy from their website.
Also used to use their DL1 Data Logger. Both very good pieces of equipment.

(say "used to use" because they've been stuffed in a cupboard for a year or so).

Gtech's come on to ebay quite regularly, you just need to keep watching for a whlie, I have seen some go for quite nice prices over the last few weeks.

They look quite good, especially if all you have to do is plug them into the ciggie lighter!
Dont even need that.

I modified mine to run off a 9v battery so I could fit it to my bike. Works quite happily at 9v.

Gtech brought out two new performance meters which are much better as they have have more then one sensor in them and you can calibrate them so you dont have to keep moving it up and down to get it in the right position :)
