Where to get a good quality Desk?

You won't need a very big desk if you only need to have your cpu on it ;) , but with the 26" monitor besides it, I'd recommend the ikea tables, they're cheap and good quality and come in a range of wood effects. :)

edit: gilly always wins.

I got mine at a well known computing store.

Actually the only time I ever went in for something PC related, and probably ever will

well, glass would be nice but thats costly i think. I saw some desk on the monitors section "show us your desk" and some looked really nice. Would preferably and maybe a few draws
Cheers

Our office had two huge MFI desks in it. They were sort of L-shaped, so you sort of sat in the corner of the L. We wanted to clear a bit of space, so we thought we'd remove the short end of the L, and then attach the end of it to where we'd removed it. ASCII art ahoy:

Code:
________
| |
L____ |
     | |
     L__|

becomes

________
| |
|_______|

Unfortunately, the end from the arm of the L doesn't fit on the bare end that we left, so we had to prop up the end of the desk with a scanner box (with scanner inside), a HP projector box (with broken projector inside) and a few of the big think MCSE books.

Even more unfortunately, last week the guy came to collect the projector, so now the desk is propped up with an office chair with a load of books on it. It's well awkward using the computer on there, because the monitor is on a slope.

I ought to get a picture of it. It's class. How the Health And Safety expert business manager ignores it whenever she comes in is beyond me.

Ikea. You'd be daft not to. Sturdy as a rock, cheap and easy to put up without ending up with missing screws.

goto ikea, get a few parts out of the B-parts area, n build urself a nice desk :)

I got a nice big L-shap (curved on the inside) table top, a few legs and a book case, cut the L-shap down in size to fit how i wanted, cut the book case to same hight as legs and with as end of the table. Screwed them all togither and now iv got a lovly table for £20 that would have cost me about £150-200 if it was designed like that.
