where to get a kick ass laptop

Hi Ive been toying with the idea of getting a good gaming laptop but I dont know whats a good spec and where to buy it from ,
Ive been looking at alienware and rock because of the wide options they give you .

So any suggestions would be great.

Oh and I would rather steer clear of dell if possible.:mad:
 
I only dislike dell because of some bad dealings with them and yeah they are a bit ugly and no I didn't know they owned alienware ,
I was thinking of around £1200 give or take a couple of quid but that isn't fixed I may go higher if its worth the cash and it will give it an extra 5 minutes before being obsolete. :p
I will mainly use it for games (Crysis, supreme commander, bioshock) and mobile media (movies,music etc) so no office use really.
Ive been looking at mycizmo and they seem to be quite competitive and give a massive diversity on customizing which includes SLi and quad processors.
 
I think I may have to re-evaluate my budget as you pointed out £1200 doesnt get much.
maybe I should aim for £2000 area and just save my pennys for a little longer.
 
yeah ive been looking around but I cant find many laptop builders who offer a decent spec like rock ,
Alienware are not very current on the tech and are a bit pricey and mycizmo seem ok but because of there amazing spec options I keep building a 3 grand lappy (In my dreams).
 
yeah if you compare kobalts top spec to the rock equivelant its nearly 200 quid cheaper I just wish there where more companys to choose from.
