Where to get broken computers

me and a friend have had a idea to get broken computers fix them and sell them on.
is there anywhere online or near hull where i can get broken computers for cheap/free but im trying to avoid bay

You'd need to contact businesses and schools that may be upgrading, old machines often go straight in the bin as they're worthless to them.

Easier said than done i'm afraid.

You used to be able to buy ex council/school/government stock - but i expect some savvy rich guy has cornered this market for selling on to the third world.

Plus, they only upgrade when they really have to so a lot of their old bits would be hard to sell on - even when upgraded.
