Anyone got any suggestions for where to get some decent photo frames?

Normally I'd say Ikea but a) I'd like something possibly a little classier and b) they don't do the sizes I'm after. Basically I've had some of my shots printed and mounted with an eye to selling them but one outlet wants them framed first. I can get A4 frames pretty easily for half the shots but the other half are in 10" x 10" mounts and finding frames to fit is proving a bit challenging. Getting them isn't a problem but I don't fancy paying the £25 that most of the wholesalers charge for delivery just for 3 frames.

I think B&Q do the frame sizes you are looking for and at reasonable prices as well. Not sure what they look like off hand as only had a quick look at sizes/prices one day and didn't pay much attention to what the frame looked like.

Habitat sell lots of nice frames in loads of sizes in different finishes. They do some square frames, but I can't remember the sizes apart from 50cmx50cm.

I would suggest you have a crack at making your own frames.
The equipment can be variable but the skill level is low to middle (a mistake can be expensive if youre not careful) , but the savings will be enormous.

I was a picture framer for about eight years and have trained people in the basics of prep and assembly in about an hour.
Anyone who can build their own pc should have no trouble making decent frames.

Don't you know a helpful bloke just up the road who's not unskilled at working with wood? Bung him a crate of Black Sheep and he may be persuade-able.... :o)
