where to get mafia 2 from

I got a 470gtx from OCUK last week with a free mafia code, is it possible to download it from somewhere/somehow other than steam? I only have 2mb connection but a 40mb at work.

It's a Steamworks game. So nope.

I believe it is steamworks game and you will need to use Steam if you are downloading it

crap.. is it possible to download it on 1 pc and then transfer the files to another? I'm sure I've done this in the past with CSS

Yes, you can.

Just run steam.exe from the Steam folder, set it downloading, then copy the mafia ii folder in \steamapps\common

Paste this to onto the other computer - job done (it may need to download a few mb of other files, but not a lot)
