Where to get PS3 content? (aside from the PS Store)

Hey all,

Just wondering if there are any places besides the PS Store that you can download PS3 demos/themes etc?

Im after the GT5 demo aswell at the moment, but i heard somewhere that it's only available from the Japan PS Store? Which is an issue because; 1) I cant read Japanese

and 2) Because im not too sure how to change which version of the PS Store loads up.

Can i not just grab content thru my PC and transfer it over with my USB memory stick?

No, you download demo's through your Playstation3. You can create a japanese account.
You can download PS3 themes off the Internet and put them on a USB stick though.

dude if your looking for themes goto www.allps3themes.com on your PS3 browser, on this site you can browse loads of free themes and actually download and install them direct onto your PS3.

Yeah, i've been using that site today actually, and another. Got a few themes installed so it's all good.

I have always wondered why it isn't possible to download demo's from the internet and copy them to the PS3 with a USB stick/memorycard?

What I did was set up a US, Japanese and Hong Kong accounts on my PS3, it isn't that difficult and it works with bogus information.

Hmm rightio. I set myself up with a Jap account, and after running around in circles for 30 minutes trying to work out where the GT5 demo was, i gave up and started googling.

All i can find is it was released on the Japanese PS Store on October 20 and was apparently removed on November 11?!

Im after the actual demo, not the prologue version that you have to pony up cash for.

Yes, annoyingly Sony remove demo's after a while for no apparent reason, it really sucks.

Is gt5 prologue any good then ? Worth a buy ? I see its out here on march 30th

For me it is a deffo purchase, but I like racing games and have had all the previous GT games but it isn't an arcade racer and A.I. could be better (although it might be improved since the Prologue demo)

I know its shallow but what is it like graphically compared to say PGR or forza (or even Burnout paradise) ?

Graphically it is amazing, I have a 1080p LCD and it is very good, I only have the Prologue demo and I think the graphics are even slightly better on Prologue.

I can't compare to PGR or Forza as I haven't got a 360 but I think I read in threads in the past that graphically GT5 Prologue is a bit better but it is a much debated issue.

Ok thats good, Its just I played the gt hd concept and was underwhelmed, whilst I understood thats just GT4 in HD it was disappointing nonje the less. On tiop of that I played Ridge racer 7 and it seems to have a lot of the tracks from RR6 on the 360 but the graphics seemed to be missing a lot of lighting effects which made it look very plain.
