where to get tube

Well there's 2 things,
one, tapping acrylic's a bit of an art I've not got a good hand with, so wouldn't trust myself :p

Also there's such a thin wall to crack, an acrylic res would have more pushing inward against the thread, more tension.
I never liked the Idea of screwing into acrylic anyway, I try to stick to metal on metal .

the thing is making sure you are straight in line with the tube which is why i will use a lathe

secondly that is why i asked where to get 1/2 - 3/4 tube that should have plenty of thickness to tap without cracking

plus it looks cool so worth a go :D
