Hi guys - I bought a case etched window but it didn't come with any window edging!

I then bought some chrome look window edging and it is only grooved on one side (like a u shape).

Please do not ask for competitors

or how I can fit a window using u shaped edging!

Many thanks! =)

Any potential supplier will be a competitor, so please don't ask.

I guess its blowhole trim you have bought, designed to slot over a cut edge to cover it.

Window trim is big and bulky by comparison, and I think a well trimmed bare cut edge looks way better with the glazing either in front or behind as per most if not all stock window panels, e.g. :

I'm not sure quite what you mean..how would I attach the window without edging?

It's not my fault OCUK dont stock edging/windows - I buy everything else from them!

A budget solution I used is some outer from some black tri-core electric cable!

If you're really careful, you can use a stanley blade or similar to slice length ways down the cable. Strip out the three wires and you're left with something that you can slip over your side panel hole. I used a bit of super glue on the inside of the cabling to hold it to the metal.

Then, I used a couple of layers of thick double sided tape on the inside of the side panel outboard of the hole I'd cut to stick my perspex window to the panel.

It sounds gash, but it worked really well! (well, I think so!)

Only cost pence too.... :)

No lights on etc - as I'm about to rip apart the computer to put in the new processor/mobo/graphics etc - and then will ensure its got tidy wires etc...but gives an idea of how it looks

Looking good!

Is that a kink in the trim at top right in the curve of the corner? Is it where the join in the edging is? If so, it might be better to put the join on a straight run?
