Yes it does. It's very rare to have your account hacked. And i'm pretty sure that 90% of the cases are down to something to do with FIFA(the game,not actual FIFA )

It's usually retards giving up their EA account details via phishing scams, they end up using the same email address/password for their XBL account in combination with having a card registered on their account.
