Where to go for a date in Birmingham

Hey all, I've never been to Birmingham myself and I'm supposed to be going there next Saturday for a date with a girl. But we are both pretty clueless as to where we could go and what we could do.

I'm 19, and she is 18. So what do you all suggest? I'll be arriving there late morning and will be leaving at around 4PM or so. I might get there early to explore the place! Also it would be nice if you could suggest a station to get off at which would be near to where we should be as there are about 6 stations listed on the national express site!

I was thinking of walking around bull ring for a bit before taking her for lunch. I heard she likes ethiopian food, so I tracked down a restaurant that serves such food by the Jewellery Quarter station called Ethiopian Blue Nile.

Anyone happen to know much about this restaurant?

Ok it seems the restaurant I was on about was actually one from America, so we won't be going to that one.

Does anyone know of any good restaurants that do african food, particularly Ethipian food some near the bull ring? Failing that, afro-carribean food will do.
