I say travelling, but I just mean a mini-break which will just consist of me zooming around on a quad looking for new landscapes to photograph and film!

Basically, either all of my friends are going abroad this year with girlfriends or they have no money.

I don't mind going alone, will be a mini adventure but I want to go somewhere very scenic. I'm a photographer and film maker, and hope while out there to get some decent photos/footage to add to my portfolio/showreel.

What I want:

*4-7 days
*Under £400 inc flights+accomodation
*Able to get around on a quad/motorbike
*Beautiful landscapes
*Cheap food

Was thinking about Ibiza, been there before on a differnt sort of holiday but would feel a bit of a let down going to Ibiza without friends!

Any ideas?

If you get lucky on the flights go to Marrakech (I got return from London from sub £80 a few years ago). Went quadbiking out in the red sand deserts, really great!

Georgia may be worth a shot too although the flights might be a bit long for that time frame. Return flights can be got for £160 and the country is supper pretty and cheap. Not so sure about quad-biking, mountain biking seems to be more popular there.

Surely the obvious choice here is Scotland? Loads cheaper to get to and the scenery up in the Highlands is staggeringly good.

I'd have to agree with Scotland. Anywhere further north than Pitlochrie will give you a ton of dramatic scenery.
Pack a tent and off you go. During the summer the varying light levels will change things a lot and it can get pretty hot in the daytime if the sun is out.

You'll struggle to get there and accommodation for £400 though, unless you camp of course (wild). The UK is generally expensive for holidays for that very reason.

However Scotland was my first thought. The west coast or islands should be stunning, however you'll need to camp or else your budget will be blown.

We've no idea where he lives so we dont know what it'll cost him to get there but I went from Devon and it didn't cost me that. Premier Inn in Inverness was £35 a night.

Scotland is potential, although Pitlochrie is 362 miles from me, just over 6 hours. Fuel would cost roughly £130 there and back.

Could get a flight for that...

Marrackeh is a good shout. How about fly to Nice then travel up into the Southern Alps on the French/Italian border. Accommodation wise stay in Gites (French equivalent of Youth Hostels, but much better). Could do a night in Nice before travelling home.
