Where to go for a nice weekend break?

Me and the girlfriend are wanting to go away for a long weekend (4 days). Nothing fancy just a nice break together.

Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations? Somewhere in Europe or even up north sounds ideal. If anyone has been somewhere nice can they share it please.

Any ex eastern european capital city to be honest.

I find you can fly, have a nicer hotel, and spend less than going away in this country for a weekend.

Last time in Tallin we had a two story apartment for £34 per night :eek:
 
Tallin is a really nice place

I visited there about a day after a Russian riot (irregular occurrence) so most of the old town was smashed up :(

but it had amazing colours
 
Prague, Paris or if you like to smoke, Amsterdam. Have taken my gf to all three and we both enjoyed Prague the most I think. Beautiful place.
 
Edinburgh Festival next month. Great city made even better by the comedy/arts/music/plays etc going on during the festival. Great buzz to the place, but book early as possible (as hotels go quickly) and plan your events.
