Where to go from a HX750

Hi all,

I am going from a 3700x + 2080 to a 5800x3d + 3090ti and i'm looking for a decent PSU upgrade to compensate.

Should I be looking at 1000w or 1200w and also any recommendations? I am trying to keep the price down as I'm now pretty spent up on the upgrades.

I ran a 3090ti and overclocked 12600kf with a corsair RM850i and never had any problems, as I had a bit of spare cash I upgraded to a 1200w for future proofing.

It's about 3 years old at this point.

I recently picked up a HX1000i as a modest upgrade from an RM850X. I did find that if I were to overclock my system heavily, HWinfo would report power limits as a limiting factor.

System: 9900K, 3090.

Personally, I'd try it, I know it is less than what is recommended, but you already own the PSU, so it's worth a go. Your CPU is fairly modest for a high-end CPU and you could always undervolt the 3090 Ti.
