Where to go from a K850i?

Had a K850i for a while now and soon the time will come to get rid of the hateful broken piece of **** :p.

Normally, I just thieve my dads contract upgrades and then stick a PAYG SIM in it, however i'm thinking about moving to my own contract.

If I do that, i'd quite like to move to O2, as (afaik) i'd get £5 knocked off my broadband bill which is always welcome.

I'd like to stick to a similar sort of phone as the K850i, i'm not interested in an iPhone or 'copies' and I don't really like flip phones. Slidey phones are a maybe but I prefer just a 'normal' style really.

However, I have absolutely no idea what's what in the phone world any more and so would appreciate any suggestions for stuff I could get free or cheap (sub £50?) on a £20/£25 per month O2 contract.

This is what I am getting. It's free on a £35 a month contract and £146.00 on a £30 contract so it makes sense to go to the higher contract.
 
I currently get by spending £10 on PAYG, though recently i've been starting to spend £20 every now and then.

I'm on Orange PAYG atm so £10 gets me 50 minutes, more if its a magic number and 300 texts.

Either way, a £35 contract is a big jump from that (£120 per year to £420)
 
Fair enough, it depends how much you use your phone. I pay £17.50 for 750 Mins, unlimited texts and internet but got that through haggling when my upgrade came.
 
I just got the C905 free (with 8gb memory card) on o2 with 600 mins 1000 texts and unlimited internet for £20 per month on 18month contract.

I had to haggle but not too much its the £35 per month contract but with a £15 per month discount automatically added on for the whole 18 months so effectively £20 with no cashback nonsence.

I was pretty pleased with that result
