Hey guys how we all doing, been a while from my last post here

So i got my rig now
i've got a fx 8320 running nice and cool on stock fan at 4.0ghz 55' to 60' max very nice cpu.

8gb 1600 vengance

Asus sabertooth RV2.0

750W PSU

and finally a GTX 660 ""sc""

The thing i think is holding me back now is my GPU
i was looking to spend £250 on a gpu that is going to cover me for the next 2 years. i've been looking loads and i can't seem to make my mind up over either a gtx 770 or get another GTX 660 and SLI them,

HALP lol

660 sli benchmark

770 benchmarks

Its a bit subjective as there is no direct comparison but your looking at similar if not a little better performance from double 660's but you will burn more electric but its cheaper to augment your system.

The choice is yours but personally i would grab a second hand 660.

If you sell off the GPU and add what you get from that to your budget you could nab a 290! Might see the odd bottleneck in some CPU intensive games but Mantle will help as it becomes more widely adopted.

Hi guys thanks for all the advice,
:) sounds like another 660 would be the cheaper option.

It's not that i am against AMD, i've had some cards from them in the past but i dunno i just always end up favoring nvidia, and i honestly cannot say why i have no idea lol

as for mantle. well i guess i will findout what DX12 brings to the table and if amd sounds like the future i guess i will be going over to them :)

question though do all amd parts genrally run hotter ?

EDIT:
Actually Retract that, i noticed on the SLI 660 benchmark the results are based on a 1920x1080 and i want to be looking to the future,
sooooooo hummmm, 280x you say.... maybe it is time to go fully amd.

Good man.

Yeah have a look at the 280x and 280 (non-x). £250 & £200 respectively. In terms of performance nvidia-wise they are GTX 770 (massively oced) and GTX 670 (massively oced again) respectively.. :)
