where to go now

Well as per the title really, I would like to see where I can from where I am at and how to do ti safely really.

Here is where I am with my i5 3570k with a Phanteks PH-TC14PE CPU Cooler - Black heat sink strapped to it.

Intel Burn on High
4.2Ghz
1.164vcore under load- measured by cpuz
58-60'C core temp- measured by core temp

between each run vcore seems to go up to 1.188v and temps drop back down to 44-46'C then it returns to the above during the run.

So really what I am asking is in my BIOS the vcore is set at 1.25 so is that what the mobo/BIOS is sending to the cpu as at idle cpuz displays vcore at 1.236-1.248V.

Just wondering if everything checks out ok with what I have and if it's all safe to up it a bit to maybe 4.4/4.5 safely?

Many Thanks

Nick

Something is not right with your temps bud. With that amount of volts, your temps should not be going that high. Before you go any higher, I would look to reseat the cooler and reaply thermal paste.

if you ask in the "Ask 8pack" section maybe he can help, he is now the resident expert. the guy obviously knows his stuff and anything he doesnt probably aint worth knowing anyway.

my idle temps are between 19-22'C though I thought that was ok but I will re apply the thermal paste tonight and see how it go's.

Also I can't for the life of me find the ask 8 pack section, am I blind?

seems right to me for load temps??

cpu-z shows full voltage and idle cpu clocks? is all power saving enabled as it should show less than 1v at idle

yes its using 1.25v but showing 1.188v due to cpu voltage droop under load
