Where to go?

It's mine and my girlfriends anniversary in a few weeks. We want to go away and stay in a hotel somewhere for the night but we're not sure where. We're only going to have a day or two to do things. We're living in Reading and we're looking to go around the Oxford/London/Bristol/Bath areas. Any suggestions of places to go/things to do?

London will be hectic as hell, possibly not the type of place you want to go to spend some quiet relaxing lovey dovey time with your missus

Bath is an awesome place to go pretty, memorable, lots to do and see and lovely hotels. Quite a romantic place I think

I dont know how far it is from you but there is a village called Broadway near Stratford on Avon which is lovely and is only a few mins from Strat.

I quite like the sound of Bath and Bristol actually, just because we always seem to go to London. Any particular places you would advise to go/see?
