Where to next?

Hey all,

I have the chance to upgrade to an i7 950 at 4.2~ghz with 6GB of Corsair dominator ram and an Asus Sabertooth TUF X58.

My question is, would i notice an increase in gaming performance? is it worth upgrading to this now? or should I just wait until the new intels next year?

The question is, what sort of gaming performance are you looking for?
Judging by your specs in your sig, I can't see why the setup you have couldn't already give you unreal gaming performance?

What kind of games do you play, that you don't already get good performance on?
 
Sorry, I get very good performance with the hardware I have at the moment :), I was just wondering if it is worth upgrading to the components above now at a low cost, or if I should wait until the new intel processors come out next year and save my money.

As for the games I don't get good performance in, there's GTA4 ;) but that's a seperate issue.
