Where to plug in 4 case PWM fans?

Looking at the Lancool 3 case and a Gigabyte B650 motherboard.

The case comes with 4 PWM fans, there doesn’t seem like there are enough 4pin ports on the motherboard to support this.

How does connecting the case fans to the mobo work in this situation?

Get a splitter or two. I'd probably run 2 fans each on 2 headers.

Ah thanks, so how exactly do they work.

Does that controller plug into the MOBO and PSU then all PWM case fans plug into that controller? Do you just sit the controller inside the case somewhere?

Premium cases usually have their own integrated splitter or hub/controller, it's rare that they expect you to connect every fan yourself to the motherboard individually. If you check the manual, or some reviews, it'll tell you the box contents and how they're connected.

Ah cool, so they’d all plug into a splitter then the splitter into the PWM port on mobo? Makes sense.

Theoretically motherboard fan headers supply enough power to run 3 fans but I really wouldn't want to put it to the test. I believe in playing safe.

Yeah use a hub, they are brilliant.

I have 6 case fans connected into a Corsair hub, the hub then connects to a USB header on the mobo. I can then change the curve and fan speed through the iCue app

Great for cable management too

Yeah LianLi have some good ones where you can literally hook up three fans to eachother magnetically and have only one cable for three fans.

That’s useful! Think I’ll go with the Lancool3 case then
