As title really, doing my dissertation and wondered where the best place to put an interview is? in the appendix or in the actual body of the essay. i know i want to quote some of it but i don't know if it's neccessary to put it all in there? it's a self conducted interview so i want it to count towards my mark. can anybody shed any light?

Personally I'd put it all in the appendix for completeness and then referr to it in the main body.

Yeah. You will still get credit for it I think. :)

I'd put it in the appendix. Although it is your own work, it still supports the main body of text. It shouldn't be neccesary for the reader to read it in it's entirity for your project to make sense - it's just there to refer to if they need it.

Just quote key parts of it in the main body.

The same goes for any kind of survey, interviews, excess digrams and tables etc - just include the summaries of data / key points in the main body.

I'll agree with the others. Put it in your appendix but when you refer to it, refer to it as Figure: 1.0 for example.

sorry guys.. last one.. i want to quote from it, do i just quote it in the typical sense like:

"blah blah blah"
(Breen 2006, Appendix 4)
