Where to sell old(ish) kit?

IVe had the same problem. Few bits went on a well known online auction site, ive posted some bits on facebook local groups but they arent shifting, and for the 2 bits i have left ive almost given up on, a portable stereo and twin tape deck are likely to end up at a charity shop. cant bring myself to take them to the tip

I’ve a few bits and bobs to sell, ranging from soundbars to VCR’s and AV receivers. Where’s the best place to try sell them?

Thanks.

Soundbars - unless they're something higher-end (e.g Yamaha YSP, Naim), or a well known brand to the general public (Sonos, LG, Samsung) then local ads work best; FB selling groups (you have to post in 15 or 20 of the most popular to reach a decent-sized audience) and Gumtree, though that's much slower as it's riddled with professional sellers.

Where it's higher-end gear, then AV Forums and Ebay if you can't access MM here.

Good, clear, sharp photography from the main angles, plus showing the remote and any boxes and instructions will get you more attention for your ads.

AV receivers - AVForums if it's something recent or an old behemoth such as a Yam DSP-A1 or Pioneer VSA-AX10. Ebay for anything else, and for the VCRs. You need a big audience, and Ebay gives you the biggest. Go off completed sales for the same and similar models as a guide to prices. Pricing delivery in with the deal always helps. Somehow "£100 with free delivery" gets more interest than "£80 + £12.99 del." Go figure.
