Hi all,

Can anyone recommend me some albums by Pink Floyd to start with?

I know there are the obvious choices of 'The Wall' and 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' but I already have those albums so where should I go to next?

I don't like greatest hits albums so please don't suggest one :p

Thanks a lot :D

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys.

I think I'll give 'Wish You Were Here' a listen to next then maybe start checking out there live albums

The Wall is a really difficult album, but also their best.

Wish you were here is probably the best bet, although I prefer atom heart mother and animals.

In order of accessability I would prob say

Wish You Were Here
Meddle
Animals
Dark Side of the Moon
The Wall

There all really to get along with

Really? Dark side of the moon less accessible than animals and meddle? I think you are going to be in the minority with that one! :p

Dsotm is easily their most accessible.

Wish You Were Here and Animals. Animals is much under-rated.

My gripe with animals is the unnecessarily long interludes that pad out a few of the songs. Particularly the keyboard solo on dogs and the middle section of pigs, dull as dishwater.

Just don't bother. Not worth the time.

In fact start with the Scissor Sisters version of Comfortably Numb.

On a serious note if you really want to get into Pink Floyd without slitting your wrists by the PULSE DVD because it's Floyd at their best (whatever that means).

Dark side of the moon got me into Pink floyd as it was the only PF album I could find of my dad's as a kid, but The Wall is imo the most accessible.
