where to stay in blackpool?

I am planning an outing to Blackpool soon and hoping for sun, beer and fun!

Can anyone please point me in the direction of a hotel? It is for a mixed party (eg boys and girls) so hopefully we wont have to look at anywhere too dodgy.

Also - where are the best places to go n the evening. As it is so long since my last visit; I can only remmeber the Manchester pub on the seafront - the rest is but a blur.

Can't help with Blackpool.

But, Brighton would be more fun

OK, we only have one pier now but we have South facing beaches.

Best night clubs outside London.

not sure on where to stay - only ever stayed blackpool once a few years ago and that was at the imperial which i'm sure cost my girls parents a lot of money!

places to go in blackpool.. theres the big clubs like Sanuk and Syndicate.

if you want live music, and stuff theres Jenx.

if you want metally type music, and head banging - go to the Tache. But be drunk before you get there.

There are hotels of all sorts of different quality/size up the seafront. A cheap B&B with just enough space for you all would be good. Almost like renting a house but with a servant to clean everything for you.

This sounds just the job!

Does anyone know of anywhere near the centre (or at least a cheap cab ride away) that will allow 1 night bookings? Many I call want you to book for 2+ nights.
