Where would you emigrate to?

As title really, with this country getting worse, more expensive and the yob culture, where would you move to in the world?



Not sure if we could get a poll on this one please?:)

I'd quite like to move to Canada but not for any of the reasons you list, I'd simply like to experience a bit more of the World and living in another country for a decent period of time.
 
I'm actually looking at Australia atm because I'm having a proper miserable time and as some one far more intelligent than I said "Do as you've always done, get as you have always gotten" so going to shake things up a bit I think.

We are looking at NZ, purely as the wife jokingly sent her nursing CV to an agency over there and they rung back the next day, she had a telephone interview and job a position just north of Auckland, so we are seriously looking at it, NZ operates a points system, and we score high on it, so it is just a matter of filling in forms, saving money for medicals and immigration fee's and I reckon we'll be over there in 6 months.
 
Out to Canada and live with family out there :p

Which is probably what i want to do eventually anyhow.

Umm well got family out there I aint seen my cousins in way to long, lovely people out there (Well I thought so anyway) lovely scenery.
 
Canada, Japan (if i could learn to speak Japanese :( ) or Australia

Why, like the look of Canada, always loved Japan and Japanese things, and aus just seams to have sane people nowadays.
 
St Augustine, Florida. The first permanent settlement in North America (by Europeans) and very, very scenic. It's also very good at avoiding hurricanes which for some reason, always seem to hit land to the north or south..
 
Currently working on moving out to Florida and start our own business out there. Lovely place and lovely people and we want to experience some of the world rather than the constant humdrum of the 9-5, tax tax tax. If that doesn't come off then I will look to get a transfer with our company to Canada
 
Somewhere in Med, though not Spain - despite speaking the language I couldn't live there. S.France would suit me (I wonder why ;)), I love Italy, Cyprus is also another obvious choice for me - I'd love to go back to the Lebanon, and I'd be happy with any of the North African French colonies.

I couldn't live in the USA, NZ is too remote for me as is Oz despite loving it there.
 
If I moved to a different country it would be Canada.

One thing I don't understand is why some people think yob culture and higher cost of living is some sort of new thing to the UK, it's not really and other countries have similar problems.
 
Canada. I hate the heat, and they are part of the British commonwealth (not that that means diddley squat these days).
 
I have always found Norway to attract me. I need to go there next winter and see how bad it really is. That will allow me to see whether it is my kind of place.

If it isnt for me im off to Netherlands or Germany after the PhD. Both have nice nice people that have a great understanding of how useless Brits are at other languages and so are more than happy to help you along :D
 
Italy, Spain, Portugal or even somewhere in former Yogoslavia.

America is out of question although Canada could be easy as sister is moving there soon (though probably a bit cold climate for me).
