I was under the impression bundles couldn't be customised.
Good to know I can upgrade the chip.
Further question I already have a considerable amount of watercooling kit. I don't suppose removing the cooler from the bundle would reduce the price slightly. (Be a shame to have it just laying around unused)
Any recommendations would be appreciated. The sabertooth is more so in a couple of years I can retire it as a workstation to form a adequate gaming pc.
I don't believe ill need more than 16gb for now mainly video editing occasionally picture editing.
It does seem a lot cheaper than last time I upgraded.
However I only utilise around 12-15gb(including OS) with my current work. Would having two sets of quad channel be beneficial? I don't mean because I have double the memory more the case would work loads be split between the two quad channel sets? Or would it just sit there unused until I pushed past the 16gb mark?
I can't see any data that makes me think anything above pc-14900 is a game changer so I figure its a suitable option whilst saving money somewhat.
Sorry I got the wrong info in my last post it's a pc-14900 1866mhz 16gb g skills.
I'm open to suggestions I only choose the sabertooth for its reviews(inbuilt SSD caching) I haven't seen much about the gigabyte.
Other than the esata/higher mem speed ratings and the triple xfire ability. Why would you recommend that board?(don't worry I'm not too bothered about looks I prefere power but a nice tidy case is a must)
The ram appears to be a better choice than the g skills. Thank you.
Thank you for your time by the way, its appreciated.
