wheres all the 512mb x 2 sticks gone?

many peeps have moved to 2 x 1gb sticks of recent

what have you done with your 2 x 512 mb sticks ?

have you moved to 3gb at 2t ????

or ditched the 2 x 512mb sticks and bought 2gb kits to run at 1t ???

I am figuring which is best of the above tbh....

I just bought 2x 1gb sticks to run at 1t and will be putting my old 2x 512mb sticks in an old rig.

Depends on Intel /AMD. Intel users can keep them or add to them, AMD users are the ones who have to sell/use elsewhere.

I stuck mine on an auction site... sold 2x512MB Corsair XL sticks for £70! Had people on there who didnt understand the concept of XL trying to offer me £30 for them!

Still someone got a nice cheap set of RAM (about half price from retail new) and I bet they dont even know what theyre doing with them
