Wheres my bottleneck?

Hey guys just curious in 2 days this will be my setup

MSi p31 neo v2
4gb of ram
Nvidia 470
samsung spinpoint 320gb hdd

i wont be changing my cpu as its quite new and does the job fine

cheers for any advice, im undecided on sdd's aswell

Depending on what resolution you play on, I say perhaps the CPU will be the bottleneck in your system.

Doubtful IMO, I wouldn't say you have any bottleneck at all, but in fact a nicely rounded system, save your cash and enjoy

im not to sure what i play at, but my monitor is connected by a hdmi cable, 95thrifles i hope your correct

taken from another post of mine..

my 5870 is slightly bottlenecked by my overclocked Q6600 @3.7GHz on higher settings. I know this because all real game benchmarks I ran are identical on most of the higher settings. There's definitely a plateau and any overclocking of the GPU reaps zero benefit. However, increasing the CPU frequency does make a difference which suggests the CPU is holding the GPU back..

Agree with 95thrifles, seems to be a good all round system, only possible area is an SSD and as you said your undecided, so I would just enjoy it

Depends on how many categories you'd want...

For me, there's mid range, mid /high range, high range, and extreme range! ;P

Extreme would be those with triple SLI 580's, and high range would be the 580's and the like.

and it runs all my apps and all games perfectly.
