Just wondering now ive upgraded my Graphics Card where my bottleneck is.

CPU: i7 940 2.9ghz
MOBO: ASUS OC Palm
RAM: 3x 2GB DDR3 1333mhz (G.Skill)
GFX: GTX570 by Zotac
HDD 1: WD 300GB Raptor 10,000rpm (OS 250gb Free)
HDD 2: WD Cavair 640GB (used 256gb)
PSU: 1000w Cosair (used to have sli)
Audio: ASUS Xonar (which i think is rubbish now use onboard, mic issues)
CASE: Coolmaster Cosmo S
Software: Win7 HP

im thinking HDD? i dont want SSD yet next build i will though :)

what makes you think you have one? i cant see a reason why you would have any with that set up.

if you get a ssd yes you will load windows faster and programs but will not encode or play games any better

i would buy a new cooler and clock that cpu to 4ghz. bit of a wast at 2.9

btw i got a nortuca cooler on there :) i bought this from OCUK about 2 years ago it was running at 3.6 but failed after 1 month (related to ram dropping i think as bios changed ram speed) so set up defaults it was jan 2009

well, it looks like it exactly hdd :)
and why you dont want ssd now? it will improve your system dramatically, get 1 now, there was crucial 64gb for about ~90, have 1 myself, brilliant ssd, or new intel's 510, but they pricey atm

ssd will not make a dramatic improvement. i will make one but that raptor is a good hhd

i would rather spend money on better ram. or another gpu

If ram was dropping, get new ram and overclock cpu. Simples.

But no, you have no bottleneck, no personally I don't see the point in an SSD - especially at price point!

You won't be able to tell the difference outwith RAM benchmarks with faster RAM, and it won't hold him back with overclocking his CPU.

:rolleyes::p

Indeed I don't, if it was a pre-overclocked bundle then it was faulty if it failed after a month I would say, either way 1333MHz RAM will not limit an i7 overclock.

I found the 16hour commute a bit of a drag so I packed it in.

My apologies, and nice ninja edit there.

I wouldn't have thought so either.

However that seems to be what is being implied/stated by OP. I was catering to that point :p
