Wheres my OC gone?

Ok i had my New rig running nice and stable at 3ghz purely by uping the FSB to 333 (Q6600). I was planning on going further when i had some spare time to push it out some more.

Now somnething strange has happened, the bios settings are still saying 333 for my FSB speed but now when i get into vista Its 266 in CPU-Z or any other software and i'm back at stock speeds.

My MoBo is a P5K Deluxe I ve tried reseting my config to default and reseting everythign but to no avail.

Im thinking i may need to Flash the bios to the latest and try setting it all up again but I'd rather avoid that (I have bios flashing phobia after bricking a pc once)

Anyone got any other ideas?

Ok flashed the Bios, reset everything and still the same.
All the settings in the BIOS say 333 but once im in Vista it says 266.
Any software issues that could be causing this?

What speed does the POST screen say after changing to 333mhz?

Cant see anything saying its at 333.
All im seeing is Q6600 at 2.4ghz.
This is starting to get really annoying.

Do you have C1E turned on? Try running Orthos, then looking again.

Sorted it.
Pulled the power and reset the cmos and now its fine. Reading up i think it could have been the bios going into "safe settings"
