Where's my overclock?!

Hi all, a few months back I bought the overclocked Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz @ 4.00GHz Max / Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Intel X58 Motherboard / Corsair 6GB DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz DDR3 Bundle, and set up fine.

However, Im not sure if my overclock has vanished. The coloured overclock lights on the Mobo arent lighting up any more, and if I go into the advanced setting in the BIOS, I get 'the following settings may not be current values due to a recent boot failure' or something like that.

What's my next move? I dont know if the BIOS values are correct, and Win7 wont let me use an overclocking utility without signed drivers.

Its not a hugely urgent problem, the PC runs pretty fast, and I cant be bothered to RMA anything. I'm just curious to find out if the overclock is there, and if not how to put it back. I'm guessing that OCUK tested the overclock was stable before sending it out..

Help appreciated, thanks
Rob

Gigabyte board? You must have switched your pc off with the power switch or you crashed so it reset, you should be able to just click f10 and it will re-save the settings it came with,

use cpu-z to check what your processor is running at

Thanks, CPU-Z shows that my speed has dropped down to 2.7GHz..
Ill go through the bios tomorrow and find some settings :)

Im pretty sure loading the OCUK Bios profile puts my overclock back, as I tried it a while ago. But then it seems to vanish a day or so later. Im not shutting it down wrong..

Ill have a look and get some settings for you to scrutinise :)

My overclock fails on my Gigabyte EX58-UD5 from a cold boot as well sometimes even though it's totally stable once booted. Loading the profile saved by overclockers in your bios will restore your previous overclocked settings, a work around may be to put your machine to sleep or hibernate instead of totally shutting it down.
