Where's my water going?

I changed the water in my loop when I changed the res about 6 months ago (EK 150 iirc). I topped it all the way up, did a leak test and all has been fine. Now the res is only half full and no signs of leaks. Eh? Any ideas?

I know that's a possibility but over the same space of time previously no where near as much "dissapeared".

Mine goes down a touch and requires topping up every so often. No leaks anywhere.

If you can't see any leaks i'd say you were ok. No residue around barbs or anything?

No chance. I've got UV lamps everywhere so I can see straight away if there's even a small leak. And yes it's UV reactive ;iquid.

It'll be where you've had some air trapped when you filled it and its bled itself out over time.

When you filled it up water was likely trapped in the rad. Few months running and its all made its way out. Happened with my current setup for the first few days.

You can tell if you've still got air trapped in your loop as the water level will go down when you power up the pump with it open to atmosphere.

Tubing is slightly permeable so you'll get some evaporation over time.

Got t be evaporation. On my old watercooling setup with my amd rig which only held about 250ml of coolant in the whole system (pants really) I had to top up every three months.

Over 4 years I went through a full 750ml litre bottle of coolant and not a leak anywhere.
