Where's the Q6600 gone?

Why doesn't OcUK stock the Q6600 at the moment? In my opinion it's been the best Quad-Core by Intel for ages, and still is! I accept that the i7's destroy it, but they also destroy your wallet, and your girlfriend's wallet, and are probably the cause of the credit crunch! (That last bit is a joke, just in case you couldn't tell; curse the lack of tone over the internet!)

But seriously, how come OcUK doesn't do the Q6600? Am I missing something incredibly simple/vital?

The Q6700 is available and reasonably cheap, no idea on what happened to the 6600's, maybe they've been discontinued and stock is sparse.

Q6600s might be EOL; if not, stock will be running out. Get a Q6700 instead, it's faster

Q6600 is end of line, so doubt you will see anymore unless they get there hands on a big stack of stock on the cheap

Get a q6700 they clock better than the Q6600's that are sold now. The q6600's on sale now dont clock at all as well as the older ones.

Thats why they stopped making them, no one was buying the better models lol.

Probably EOL the price was inflated by demand too near the Q6700 really anyway.
