what will the system be used for? gaming? movies? web? office? etc? personally id go for the 2nd system

What will you be doing on your pc because if you wanted to play new games i would go for the second one.

Would be for gaming really.Just wondered how much better it would be with a phenom2 720 for future proofing.Saying that could always get the second system and upgrade to a 720 later

1st one for general pc use and stuff an the 2nd for demanding tasks, gaming etc, but wellworth the extra £60 odd

Yeah more for gaming and watching films.Not needed for any work or photoshop or anything like thatProbably upgrade the cpu to a Phenom2 720 in a year or so if its needed.

2nd one. If you add the 4870 1GB and 1TB HDD to the tri-core bundle it costs about £130 more, which is more than the P2 720 costs right now. You could buy a 720, and sell the dual core if you wanted to, and still save money over the 1st choice. Not to mention that the 2nd choice has a better PSU and warranty.
