I am purchasing a 1080ti on the 02/01/18

I am a bit torn by which is the "best" option, price isn't really a concern but i don't need or want to put it on water.

The most "popular" i've seen knocking about is the Asus Strix 1080ti OC, but my previous card before downgrading was an EVGA GTX 1080 FTW that was just brilliant, how does the ti variant FTW3 compare?

I've also looked at the Aurous but the visual design of it makes me want to throw up.. far too bulky and not in the slightest bit sleek.

Its going in a white/black themed S340 elite with NZXT Hue+ & AER fans.

Any advice?

Personally like Aorus Xtreme, four years UK warranty and strong rep help on here .

Asus Strix cards are lovely but price can be costly

Zotac amp extreme is a beast , 5 year warranty but not UK based, know OCUK cover 2/3 years of it so Def worth getting zotac from themselves

Evga is great if you want to sell the card later on in life , though they run hotter due to two slot and 2 fan design, go for FTW version

I'm leaning towards the Strix, i was a bit hesitant on buying a 1080ti in jan as i know we will see a refresh at some point. Although i am hearing from many places that it may be may at the earliest like the 1080, and then the 1080ti was nearly a year later only coming out in march.
I assume the 1080ti will hold its own to a certian degree with whatever Nvidia throws out in 5-6 months time, as the 980ti did with the 1080.

All are similar get cheapest evga for resale and warranty if you have a non itx build and don't mind a little noise. If you're more noise sensitive and want good resale in next two years ftw3 is very good. If you want very quiet and don't mind making a hit on second hand or warranty length get arous extreme, it's about as cool and quiet as they come while not costing strix money
