People keep recommending the Noctua P12 but its hideous!

Whats the next best fan after the vomit inducing Noctua's?

Cheers

Try the scythe s flex series.
They come in different speeds handy if you don't want to run a fan controller.
1200 rpm very quiet and 800 rpm ones are just about silent.

Not the quietest but the Sharkoon 2000 "Golf Ball" fan shifts a lot of air.

Or if you're mental and don't mind having a jet plane in your room then some deltas :)

I've heard many great reviews on the Scythe S Flex series, too. I'm going to be having them as extras in an Antec 1200 and mounted on a TRUE Black in my new build when I get round to it.

always important to remember that if your fans are next to dense grills or those lian li dust-guards, they're gonna be noisy at full rpm regardless.

i have grand total of 6 P12s - with dustguard mesh in front of one of them, it gets LOUD at full rpm, but very low rpm it becomes near inaudible. i have other P12s without meshes or dustguards in close proximity and they are much quieter at full rpm. something to bare in mind

As you don't like the P12s because of the colour then would recommend the scythe s-flexes. Even at full speed though audible their noise character compared to other fans is a lot more bearable. At low speed they are super quiet.

I'm assuming you have a window on your case? Otherwise, who gives a **** what they look like if they do the best job?

Noctua and Sythe are good fans but i use Antec Tricool has a 3 speed switch more expensive but I thinks it worths it.

I don't have a see through case, well not as such .... The side of the case is off as last time i put it on im sure i smelt burning

I was considering getting the Thermalright TRUE Black with a 120mm fan but since finding the Silent CPU fan mode in the bios of my new mobo, its quieter than my 5600+ ever was :D
