As the title says, I'm looking for a 19" widescreen TFT. Mainly used for gaming and watching films.

I'm looking at spending around £250 if possible, definately not more than £300.

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

You wont need to spend more than £250 so don't worry.

You should have a look at the following monitors:

- Acer AL1916W
- Viewsonic VA912W
- Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleoview W19-1 (rare in the UK)
- Videoseven L19WA (ugly by my standards)
- Asus 19” PW191 (not yet available and likely to cost more than £250)

Well the Acer AL1916W and Viewsonic VA912W are both pretty popular round here. They both use the same 8ms TN Film panel from Samsung anyway, so if you have your eye on a 19"WS then just base the decision on looks, price and functionality. Performace will be very comparable. If you can stretch to perhaps £330 then you could always look at the excellent, and much more all round, Belinea 102035W which is 20"WS, and is based on a P-MVA panel. More info on this one in the sticky if you're interested.

I completely forgot about the res! I can't stand anything lower than 1600x1200 on my 19" CRT so looks like I'll need a 20" TFT.

The Acer looks great for the money but the Belinea looks even better for not much more + it's got a DVI input and always useful USB ports.

I might have to cut down on my Coke (the drink!) addiction for a few weeks and get the Belina. :p

Thanks for the help guys! :D
