I'm thinking of getting a 20" widescreen LCD to replace my 24" TV and 17" CRT (rather annoying when i have to cart both to and from uni) but i am not sure which to get. I really dont want to spend any more than about £300.

The ones I am looking at are the Viewsonic VX2025wm and the Belinea 102035W. Is the Dell 2007 really worth the extra £60 over the other 2 as if it is I may consider upping my budget. Similarly whats the difference between the Belinea 102030W and the 102035W, is the 30 worth going for as it's quite a lot cheaper?

I will be using it to replace my TV so films and games with a little bit of photo editing and browsing etc.

Is that literally the only difference? If so does it make any difference to the picture quality or anything else? My GFX card is DVI as standard.

Both the Belinea and the Viewsonic are good screens, i would edge towards the Belinea because of the price, especially on this week only at Overclockers. But if had the extra i would get the VX2025wm, i just like the looks and the build quality might be slightly better. The Philips is also another monitor u might want to look into, i have this monitor - also supports 1:1 pixel mapping, and the colours are sharp, also i like the rotation on the stand, and the height adjustment, very nice and sturdy monitor. I don't actually think it would make too much of a difference whether you're using DVI or not...

If money had been tight for me I'd have defo got the VX2025 when I was buying. Everything I've read about it sounded a bit better than the others mentioned. In the end I went for a NEC though, since my budget could stretch further.

At the moment I am erring towards the Belinea, unfortunatly i dont have the money at the moment so I'm unlikely to get it while its on sale. :( What about dud pixels and the sort how many constitute a bad screen etc? Does it vary from manufacturer to manufactuer?

Ive got the Belinea 102035W and i paid about 300 notes for it, i think its a top class monitor!
I cant fault it one bit.

And ive just got an email from OCUK saying its reduced to 209.95+ Vat
Bargain!

Can anyone point me towards any reviews to the 2/3 screens (preferably against each other). Toms hardware has a good review of the Viewsonic and I am eering towards that at the moment due to its colour balance but it seems the video playback isn't brilliant.

Thanks Baddass that was an excellent article and has just reinforced what I was thinking. I think i'll be going with the viewsonic due to the colour reproduction. :)

Out of the three, I'd go with the 2007 fpw I think it has superior vertical
viewing angle.
If gaming and video is first priority, you might want to place the NEC on the shortlist too.
