Which 24 Inch?

Well I got one of those cheap Digimate ones and was really happy with it until about an hour ago. Am going to have to RMA it I think because it's not showing blue too well. The forums here have a green tinge and all white colours appear yellow :(

Installed Photoshop 7 just so that I could see what was going on using Adobe Gamma, and red appears red, green appears green but blue looks a very dark gray, almost black.

I'll explain what I was doing just in case it makes any difference to anything, maybe it's something I've done which can be easily rectified without me having to RMA the thing. I've just built a new machine and unplugged my monitor from my old machine (which I'm using now) and plugged it into my new machine. The monitor was still on at the time. I turned my new machine on and the screen colours of the Rampage Formula BIOS appeared yellow. I thought it might have been a duff graphics card so installed Windows Vista Ultimate x64 then shut down my new machine and plugged the monitor into my old machine. And the colours are messed up. Do you think my monitor has died or is there something I can do to fix the problem?

Nope, thanks for the advice but the pins are fine. Had it connected with a VGA cable going through the adapter supplied with the video card (only have a VGA connection on my graphics card on my old machine and couldn't be arsed to change cables lol). I've now done the same with the adapter and my old 19" CRT and the colour is fine. I think it's either the VGA cable that's died or the blue phosphor on the LCD screen. I'll try connecting it tomorrow with the DVI cable and see what happens. :)

Well my vote will go for the Digimate one but OcUK don't sell it anymore by the looks of things. Have just switched cables from VGA to DVI, it's now working and it's picture perfect. Colours are vibrant and it has a decent refresh rate too. And more importantly it was as cheap as chips.

Those LG 24" monitors are supposed to be good so I've heard.

Such a hard choice cos even myself I wanted to stay clear of TN panels the only other options are to go PVA/MVA or IPS panels but currently even the hyundia PVA panels while there good suffer lag/ghosting issues and after spending £300-400 I dont want that headache....

The HP/Hazro have top notch IPS panels but then your looking at £400 and then a good calibrator which is £100-200+

So it goes back down too the TN panels, id consider the latest Samsung 24" panels with red tint or the Dell 2409 TN panels, at around £200-250 for either there not a bad buy and dont have any of the issues the higher ends one have.

Having said that am still "Lost" in terms of what too get :(

Why couldnt they have made a panel that doesnt require calibration or at least designed for home users/gamers out of the box boggles my mind completly.

I too am now also considering the HP LP2475w 24

One of my old iiyama's has just gone up in smoke (literally) so i've just made the plunge on a HP. It'd got a lot to live up to, so I'll post my thoughts on it when it arrives.

I am now 90% certain that I will be getting the HP LP2475w. Let me know your thoughts on yours when it arrives. I have order my new table which is due to arrive saturday so will be ordering my monitor to arrive saturday too.

Pure sex. Though it turns itself off for a second sometimes, randomly, can't make it do it in any specific circumstance. Good for games, movies and general stuff. Bit warm though sitting in front of it.

Mine does it once a day if that, think there is a firmware fix just cba to send it away :p

My advice, wait until there is a decent one.

The only issue with that is ive been waiting almost a year for that answer....

I dont think there ever will be an answer, only option is as I see it £600 buying a decent calibrator then either the HP or Hazro and thats plain stupidness :)

Where are all the decent PVA/SPVA/MVA panels gone !

Or cant a manufacturer preset precalibrated modes into the hp/hazro and then bloody ship it lol
