I'm looking to upgrade my NEC 20WGX2 to something a bit more HD Ready.

I find I'm playing the PS3/360 and Wii on my PC Monitor more than my HDTV as I can use the PC Monitor whenever I like, but the HDTV is shared with my partner.

However, at the moment I am using a XCM 1080 VGA Box to convert Component to VGA, which works suberbly.

My issue is actually the screen. It's max resolution is 1680x1050 so I can only play the 360 and PS3 in 720. I don't know if it's just me being picky, but I find the scaling of non-native resolutions on the NEC to be really poor. It's blurry and slightly distorted, even when using 720. Wii however only uses 480p, so it feels really poor when it's that low. From the research I've done, I think I need to be looking for a monitor that can do 1:1 pixel mapping to ensure the best non-native picture....although I sure I probably misunderstood something.

My thoughts now are to get a 24" TFT Monitor for the PC which has the usual PC inputs, but also has HDMI and Component, which will be perfect for any consoles.

So far the best I've found so far based on searches on here is probably the Hyundai W240D-PVA (or TN). My budget has to go under the "other-half radar" so the price of the Hyundai is about right.

I know there are other panels cheaper than this if I drop the need for HDMI and Component, but if I could lose the VGA Box I think I'd feel much happier with the end results (I think I'd always have that "it could be better...) vibe).

Are there any other recommendations?
How is the Hyundai for non-native resolutions? Ideally, I'd like it to be able to display a non-native res without any loss of sharpness or detail through the scaling (just like you used to be able to do on a CRT!! :()

Oh nice, I didn't spot that one. We use Dell screens at work and can't fault them.

How is Non-Native scaling on them? I've only ever used the ones are work for official purposes :(

So really then I've got a choice of...

Hyundai W240D-TN - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-054-HY&groupid=703&catid=17&subcat=510
Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP-HC - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-019-DE&groupid=703&catid=17&subcat=510

Hyundai W241D-PVA - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-055-HY&groupid=703&catid=17&subcat=510
Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-024-DE&groupid=703&catid=17&subcat=510

Meh, so hard to choose. All the reviews are good, but none of them cover the one bit of information I want to know (non-native stuff).

My gut instinct is the Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP-HC as it's got great feedback, not just on here, but elsewhere. Plus as mentioned, I use Dell stuff at work, very nice gear. Oh, and if it's Dell, I can use the old "I bought it through work, I probably never have to pay for it" then hide the credit card payments :D
