Which 24" Monitor?

I'm currently looking at one of the 24" Dells. (2407WFP or 2407WFP-HC).

Are there any better quality monitors for the same or less money?

What are the differences between the two models? there doesn't seem to be much in it! I've read of ghosting problems with the -HC so if there isn't anything significant I'd be leaning toward the tried and test vanilla WFP.

Any suggestions or comments appreciated!

Don't think the stand is more adjustable and the Hyundai is a TN film panel like the cheaper Iiiyama or Samsung or Xerox. Unlike the Dell which is an S-PVA panel.

no the hyundai is not a TN panel and the stand is more adjustable.

edit, im not sure anymore about what panel type it isI'm confused some sources say it is and some say it isn't.

I just don't know what to go for here... I was going to wait for some reviews of the Hyundai here, before I took the plunge.

Should I go for a Dell? Are the Dells just hyped?

I'll only be using the monitor for Windows apps (a fair bit of Photoshop) and gaming. I'll very very rarely watch a DVD on it and never connect a PS3, Xbox360, I do all of that on my Sony 40" downstairs. The viewing angle isn't an issue as I sit right in front of my monitor. It's a nightmare, the more and more I look into which monitor to get, the more confused I become.

if viewing angles arn't a problem then an S-PVA panel offers very little extra for the price compared to a TN panel. You may get better colour and things but the colour a TN panel produces is adequate for most.

Sounds like the Iiyama or the Samsung for you then seeing as you don't need the Extra connections or better viewing angles of the Dell.

Hyundai confirmed the UK version is TN Film, with an S-PVA ver supposedly following at some point. hopefully they will change the model name at least!
