I have just bought a xbox360 with HDMI output. I'm looking to buy a 24" monitor to use with my pc as well. I intend to connect my 360 to the monitor using a HDMI lead. As I understand it, the sound output from monitors is rather poor, so I'm wondering how i can split the audio from my 360 HDMI output to my amp. Is there such a cable? Do any monitors have a line out for sound. I was thinking of buying the Hyundai W241D-PVA, but the whole sound output issues are concerning me. Any recommendations on which 24" monitors would be suitable for my setup would be appreciated.

Cheers

I think its the best, gona be getting it soon.

good choice, youll definitely not regret it, i know at the minute my current graphics card isnt the best for it but even at 1680x1050 it still looks pretty good, new 8800gts coming soon so i should see a bit of an improvement. but ill say this its the best £400.30 quid i ever spent, will do me for a long time:)

yesterday i've got Acer P243W. OMG this monitor is unreal! Picture is perfect straight from the box, CrystalBright technology blown me away, cos i've never seen that on 24" LCDs yet and response time 2ms does the job for my PC gaming needs. Mostly BF2-2142. Would strongly recomend for gamers and price is very competitive. Got it from No competitors! which i hate big time, but they are only shop in europe where i could find this one in stock.
Got HDMI as well! :)

I've just ordered one of the ocuk ones, fingers crossed :)

Which one? P243W? Cos the other lines are not worth of money! This one is 3000:1, 2ms and for me very important CrystalBright. Games looks awesome. Who can't forget his old CRT, this is it. But flat and 24" :D After AuzenTech X-Fi, this is my second best spend money on pc. Friend of mine got Dell 2407WFP and he is not happy with it any more after seeing this one
