Which 24" Monitor?

I'm in the market for a new monitor after 8 years with an Iiyama 19" panel.

My budget is a max of £200 and I am looking for a 24" panel. It's primarily going to be used for gaming.

I've become a bit lost with all the choices and varying reviews out there so would appreciate some advice.

Currently I am looking at two Iiyama panels given my experience with my current panel.
An E2473HSD:

or an E2475HSD:

Any thoughts on the two above panels or any better alternatives?

The first one if it's for gaming is about as good as it gets at 24" near your budget. If you're willing to drop an inch a Dell U2312HM will get you much better viewing angles at the cost of a slightly slower pixel response time.

The Iiyama 2473-HDS has been the monitor for gaming systems on two major Dutch sites for months in a row now.

+1 for the Dell U2312HM.

It is a really nice looking monitor due to the IPS type panel it uses, also looking at this review it still does rather well in pixel responsiveness tests.

Subjective evaluation

The IPS panel in the U2312HM has been designed for short switching times; the 6-Bit colour control, which is otherwise almost exclusively used in TN panels, helps the screen to achieve truly fast switching times for IPS technology; the overdrive solution goes a step further, but it is so regulated in doing so that distracting side effects can only be uncovered in synthetic tests at low levels.

It is possible to play even very fast paced games on the U2312HM. The fact that the overdrive solution hardly makes itself noticeable in a negative way when viewed subjectively, despite the fast response times, is worth mentioning. This claim can no longer be made regarding the fastest TN panels, which manage to squeeze out a few more milliseconds.

Though as Axeia has stated, if you want the best pixel response time in this price range and would rather have a 24in TN panel monitor - then you would be hard pressed to beat Iiyama 2473.

Thanks for the replies. Viewing angles aren't really an issue so I wasn't considering any IPS panels due to the drop in response times.

Looking at the specs for the two it would seem that they are similar aside from the matt/gloss finish to the bezel.
