which 24inch tft Please Help

Hi I'm gonna buy an ew tft shortly as i want to replace my old 19inch tft. It's about 4yrs old and its seen its day as far as im concerned. But which one out of these would be the best. I want a monitor for gameing and watching
films. So the best quality panel for the price is what im after

The choice is as follows.I now know that there are a difference in panel quality. So whats the best one out of these. Does contrast make much of a difference as well like 1000:1 3000:1 ect

Well all those 4 are TN Film with the exception of the OcUK L2442W which is VA based. You would probably find the extended viewing angles of real benefit for movie watching from that panel technology tbh. TN Film is pretty restrictive especially vertically. Have you also considered models like the BenQ FP241W and Dell 2407WFP / 2408WFP?

I noticed that too, with the Samsung 245B with my eyes central to the middle, the top appears darker.

Personally I'd go for the PVA panel so the OcUK one.

slightly off topic but what makes the Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP 24 so expensive then is it really £200 better

I guess the well known brand name will pump up the cost abit. Also I think it has a better stand and a lot more input options.

Better stand, more inputs, not a TN film, its far superior in that sense
