Hi all

Hardware unboxed recon the Gigabyte M27Q-P is a good shout, but i cant find it anywhere. Seems its an updated m27q.

Saw it available for £300 at one place, sold out before i could order it.

IPS still seems the best bet, unless ive missed some new tech.

not curved.

Good gaming performance freesync/gsync but thats a given these days i guess. Not bothered about hdr.

Usb hub would be nice, but not essential. The KVM on the gigabyte would have been handy.

Height adjustable stand ideally, but it doesnt need to pivot.

What would you guys recommend?

Thanks

Nothing yet. briefly saw the M27Q-p at £300. Then it went out of stock, but you could still order it, now its "currently unavailable". I should have ordered it when i had the chance. Frustrating. The older M27Q is nowhere to be found either.

I can see G27Q for cheaper. Not so many reviews of the G27q. It seems fine, but no direct comparisons against the m27q or p that i can find. the kvm would be handy in the m27q.

The Dell S2721DGFA can be had for £285 currently. I need to wade through the huge thread though, it seems like there is an issue when using vrr, but i need to do more research.

There is an HP that gets good reviews on hardware unboxed, though i cant remember the model number off hand.

What else have you looked at?

Yeah i think there is no issue. I got as far as page 60 something, then skipped to the last 3 pages or so, seems like a good shout since the M27Q-P is nowhere to be seen

I brought the dell used from the rainforest for £252, not sure why it was used as it looks pristine. First thoughts good stand, I hate the ones that stick out like swords taking up my desk space.

My previous monitor was Aoc 25g2 (25inch 1080p 144hz ips).

When browsing or working you have so much more real estate and everything looks smooth and crisp, the colours are really nice and the contrast isn't that bad for an ips plane.
I downloaded iic profile from techless YouTube channel.

I haven't had much time to game but it looks nice everything is much sharper and textures looks better it is noticeable upgrade from 1080p. The screen can go very bright I have mine set to 38%, glad to report I have no issue with using vvr(using etc 3060ti).

One big issue I am having, after an hour of use my eyes start to hurt if I'm gaming or not I have no idea why. I thought it might be the brightness but I turned it down and I'm still getting eye strain. I will test it out more tomorrow as I have day off work but I might have to return it. :(

Thats a bit strange. Ive ordered one, so i'll see if i have any problems. i hope you manage to figure it out.

The Dell has arrived. All set up and it looks great.

I'm using a Dell XPS 13 with an Anker USBC hub with an HDMI port. It seems that is limiting me to 60Hz. I'm using the displayport monitor input for another PC, so i guess i need a USBC to HDMI2 cable and use a separate port on the laptop.

Screen looks nice though, a bit glary at first, but ive dropped the brightness to 45% with the contrast set at 75% and all seems well.
